This 51-year-old woman previously had breast augmentation surgery with another surgeon 20 years ago (355 gram silicone implants). She came to visit us at The Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Waterloo as she was was unhappy with the changes to her breasts over time, that they were too large at this stage of her life and wanted the implants removed.
During consultation with her, she decided to have her implants removed and to have Mastopexy surgery (breast lift) with Fat Grafting instead of adding implants back in by using her natural size and lifting the nipples to a more desirable position.
She had breast implant removal surgery with capsulectomy and a mastopexy to help lift the nipples into a higher and forward facing position. Fat grafting was performed for added fullness by taking fat from her abdomen and flanks with liposuction and transferring it to the areas needed.
The result seen here 3 months after surgery demonstrates that the shape of her breasts is providing a natural, full appearance without implants. The redness of her scarring will continue to fade over time. She is very happy with her decision and results!
